Custom domains change the domain on the post links you share. Every link still opens the post on Snipp, so likes, comments and private posts work as usual.
Pick your link domain in Domains settings. snipp.gg is the default, and every account can also use Snipp's own short domains, like screenshott.ing.
Your choice applies everywhere you get a post link: the copy buttons on the site, ShareX and XerahS, the API, and the Discord bot.
Links on any domain other than snipp.gg leave out /p/, so screenshott.ing/abc123 opens snipp.gg/p/abc123.
Switching never breaks links you already shared. Every domain opens every post.
Enter a subdomain you own, like i.yourdomain.com, and select Add Domain.
Wherever your domain's DNS is managed, add a CNAME record for that subdomain pointing to x.snipp.gg.
If your DNS is on Cloudflare, set that record to DNS only (gray cloud) so Snipp can verify it.
Snipp checks the record and sets up HTTPS for you, usually within a few minutes. Once the status shows Active, pick the domain as your link domain.
Use a subdomain. Most DNS providers don't allow a CNAME record on a bare domain like yourdomain.com. If your DNS is on Cloudflare, a bare domain can work too.
Connecting your own domain is part of Plus and Ultra, and each account can connect one domain.
Links redirect to snipp.gg, so the address bar shows snipp.gg once the post opens.
Every path on your domain redirects to Snipp, so use a subdomain just for Snipp links.
Keep the CNAME record in place. If it's removed, links on your domain stop working until it's back.
Removing your domain from Snipp stops every link shared on it from working.
If your plan ends, your link domain goes back to snipp.gg. Your domain stays connected for 30 days, so links you already shared keep working, and you can pick it again if you resubscribe. After that, it's removed and links shared on it stop working.
