Snipp gives you a ready-made uploader config, so connecting ShareX on Windows or XerahS on macOS takes about a minute. No manual editing required.
On Windows, download ShareX from getsharex.com and install it.
On macOS, download XerahS from xerahs.com, the macOS equivalent.
Open your Console settings and create an API key if you don't have one yet.
Click the download button to save a Snipp.sxcu config file. It works for both ShareX and XerahS.
The file already has your API key, upload endpoint, and link format baked in, so there's nothing to edit by hand.
Double-click the downloaded Snipp.sxcu file. The app opens and asks to import it.
Confirm the import. Snipp now appears in your list of custom uploaders.
The config sets Snipp as your active image and file destination automatically.
Use your capture hotkey, the default is Print Screen on Windows, to grab a region or window.
The screenshot uploads to Snipp and the share link is copied to your clipboard right away.
You can also drag any file onto the app's tray icon to upload it the same way.
Regenerated your API key? Download a fresh config and re-import it, the old one stops working.
Uploads going somewhere else? Set Snipp as the active destination in the app's destination settings.
Getting a limit error? You may have hit your weekly upload quota.
