A Snipp gift gives you a subscription for a set amount of time. If someone has sent you a gift, or you've received a gift code, this guide walks you through claiming and redeeming it.
Gifts unlock a subscription tier, either Snipp+ or Ultra, with all the perks of that tier.
Every gift lasts for a set period, measured in days, months, or years. The duration is shown to you before you accept.
Gift codes come from promotions, events, support, and from anyone who buys one on the Snipp+ page. Buying one gives you a code to share with anyone.
Most gifts arrive as a link. Opening it takes you to a claim page that checks the gift and shows you what it unlocks:
Open the gift link. Snipp verifies the code and shows the tier and duration.
If you're not logged in, you'll be asked to log in or create a Snipp account first. You'll return to the claim page afterwards.
Press Accept to apply the gift to your account.
Official Snipp gift links only ever come from two domains: snipp.gift and snipp.gg/gift. Most gifts use snipp.gift. A gift link on any other domain is not legitimate, never log in or enter your details there. When in doubt, redeem the code manually on the Redeem page instead.
If you have a gift code on its own rather than a link, you can enter it on the Redeem page in your account settings. Paste the code, redeem it, and the gift is applied right away.
The subscription is added to your account immediately, no payment details required.
Your gift has an expiry date. You can see exactly when it ends on your billing page at any time.
A gift for the tier you already have extends it. A gift for a higher tier upgrades you straight away and keeps the time you had. A gift for a lower tier is saved as credit and starts when your current plan ends.
If a gift won't redeem, one of these is usually the reason:
Invalid code: the code is mistyped or doesn't exist. Check it was copied in full.
Expired code: the gift was not redeemed before its expiry date and can no longer be used.
Fully redeemed: the code has already been used the maximum number of times.
Already redeemed: you've already claimed this code on your account.
Not eligible: your account is too new. Some gifts require your account to reach a minimum age before they can be redeemed.
Nothing to extend: your plan has no expiry date, so a gift has nothing to add to. Your code is not used up, so you can pass it to someone else.
Head to the Redeem page to apply your code, or reach out to support if a gift isn't working.
