Weekly Limits

Snipp caps how much you can upload each week. This keeps service fast for everyone and prevents abuse, while still leaving plenty of room for normal use.

Plan Quotas

  • Free: 2 GB total uploads per week, with a 50 MB cap per file.

  • PLUS: 20 GB per week, no per-file cap. That's 10x the free weekly allowance, and a single upload can fill the whole quota.

  • Ultra: 50 GB per week, no per-file cap. Contact us for higher limits.

How the Weekly Reset Works

  • Your account has a fixed reset day and time, assigned when you sign up. It stays the same every week, whether or not you upload anything.

  • At that moment each week your entire quota returns to zero. Unused allowance does not carry over.

  • Example: if your reset lands on Sunday at 3:30 PM, your full quota is restored every Sunday at 3:30 PM, no matter when during the week you used it.

What Counts Toward Your Quota

  • Every successful upload counts: website, API, ShareX, and XerahS. Public, unlisted, and private posts all count the same.

  • Albums count as the sum of their files. A 5-file album of 200 MB each uses 1 GB of quota.

  • Uploads that fail before they finish, such as a rate-limited or interrupted request, do not consume quota. Once an upload is stored the bytes are spent, even if the post is later moderated.

  • Deleting a post does not refund its quota. Bytes only come back at your weekly reset, never by deleting.

Hitting the Limit

  • When you're out of quota, new uploads return a "Weekly usage limit exceeded" error with the timestamp of your next reset.

  • Check your live usage and the countdown to your next refill from billing settings.

  • Upgrading to PLUS applies your higher quota immediately, including the existing usage you've already accumulated.
