Snippy

Snippy is the assistant built into Snipp for Plus and Ultra members. Open it from the chat button in the bottom corner to get answers about Snipp, look into your account, or get something done without digging through settings.

What Snippy can do

  • •

Answer questions about Snipp, its plans, and its features, using our help articles and docs.

  • •

Look into your account, including your plan, posts, apps, domains, and signed-in devices.

  • •

Edit your posts and profile, manage your apps and domains, change your theme and settings, or sign out a device.

  • •

Edit the picture or video open in the editor, like cropping it, adding text, or blurring something and having the blur follow it as it moves.

  • •

Edit pictures waiting on the upload page, several at once, and, when Blur Personal Info is on in Preferences, blur personal details in the pictures you upload from the website, the apps or the API.

  • •

Look at the picture or video open on a post or in your gallery when your question is about it.

  • •

Download a ready-made ShareX or XerahS config for one of your apps.

  • •

Show other members' public profiles, with the same information anyone can see on their profile page.

  • •

Pass a request on to the Snipp team when it needs a person.

You stay in control

Snippy only ever works on your own account. Your accent theme, the settings saved in your browser, like language and appearance, and edits to your pictures and videos happen right away. The editor's undo button takes an edit back, and the original file on your device never changes. For anything else, Snippy shows you a card with exactly what will change, and nothing happens until you save or confirm it.

Daily limit

Snippy has a daily usage limit, and Ultra's is three times Plus's. Longer tasks, like editing pictures, use more of it than a quick question, and each picture Blur Personal Info checks uses a little. Billing settings show how much you've used and when it resets, and if you reach the limit, Snippy tells you when you can send more.

Your conversations

Your conversations with Snippy are kept with your account so our team can follow up if you need help. Starting a new chat gives Snippy a fresh start and clears the chat from view, but earlier messages stay with your account. They're included in your data export and deleted with your account.

Snippy can make mistakes

Snippy is an AI assistant, so double-check anything important. If something doesn't look right, or you'd rather talk to a person, ask Snippy to pass it on to the team or contact support directly.
