Advanced Account Protection

Advanced Account Protection makes signing in with your email link-only. Instead of a 6-character code that someone could try to guess, you sign in by opening the link we email you, so nobody can guess their way into your account.

What changes when it's on

  • •

Sign-in emails only contain a link. Sign-in codes are turned off, and any code that's entered is refused.

  • •

Devices are signed out after 14 days without use, instead of 30.

  • •

Signing in with Discord, Google, GitHub or X keeps working as usual.

  • •

We email you whenever it's turned on or off, so you'll know if anyone else changes it.

Accounts that have it on automatically

Verified accounts, partners and the Snipp team are the most likely targets for account takeovers, so Advanced Account Protection is always on for them and can't be turned off.

Turning it on or off

You can turn it on or off anytime in your account settings.
